Temptations of the Dark Side ch3

You stood in one of the many dark hallways of Korribans Sith Academy, you hadn't built your lightsaber yet so you were using the standard vibroblade, you looked over to your opponents.

you saw a group five young men and women of varying ages waiting for you, they had  a bloodthirsty look in their eyes as they gazed at you, you walked up to them and they surrounded you.

"Well, well, well look who we've got here..." came the voice of a young woman.

"Is this the Acolyte we were supposed to kill?" came the deep voice of a very tall man.

"Yeah, it's him" said a smaller man with a nasal sounding voice.

You looked around at the Acolytes, you knew what the score was you had annoyed your rival, and in what he thought was a clever move he sent desperate Acolytes after you, the deal was if they killed or severely wounded you they would be rewarded with her help in the future.

You knew of course she was probably lying to these hopeless fools, she would always do something like this to get rid of you she wanted the power of being a darth's apprentice, you looked up when you heard them draw their blades.

"let's get this done quick so we can report back to (R/N)!" came the young woman again.

They all lunged at you as you drew your own blade, you used the force to push back two of the Acolytes behind you, then you jumped back avoiding the hits.

You let a sadistic smile overtake your face, "Now we'll have some fun..." you said.

The Acolytes seemed to hesitate before you, seems (R/N) didn't bother telling them about your force powers being so advanced, you used your whirlwind power to trap the woman in a vortex as you focused on the other Acolytes.

Several minutes passed and you killed the other four Acolytes and left the young woman severely wounded, she knelt on the ground before you with her hands up begging as blood came from her nose and mouth.

"S-stop! Please! I-I didn't know you were this strong! Please spare me!" she begged, you felt a dark glee well up in your chest at the sight of this broken Acolyte.

"Ask not for mercy and expect none. Die, like a Sith!" you said cruelly.

"N-NO! Please!" she cried.

You stepped forwards and plunged your blade into her body, she choked and fell down dead with blood coming from her mouth.

You resheathed your vibroblade and looked down at the bodies of the fallen Acolytes, you didn't feel bad about what you had just done, it was how things worked in the Empire.

You opened your eyes and sat up slowly, you looked over and saw a young man being woken up by a hyper orange haired girl, you felt kind of sorry for the poor guy.

All throughout the morning she talked, and talked, and talked and talked!

Until finally it was time for everyone to leave for the initiation, you were looking forward too seeing what this ceremony would entail.

You walked into the locker room passing the young man and his energetic friend, you walked to your locker and opened it taking out your lightsaber.

You then looked over and saw Ruby and Yang getting their weapons, you walked over to them and arrived in the middle of their conversation.

"So! You seem overly chipper this morning" Yang says smiling at Ruby.

"Heh, yep! No more awkward small talk or getting to know you stuff. Today I get to let my sweetheart do the talking" Ruby said as she hugged her scythe to her chest lovingly.

"Ha! Well, remember Ruby, you're not the only one going through initiation. If you want to grow up you're going to have to meet new people and work together" Yang said.

"Ugh, you sound like dad. Okay, first of all, what does meeting people have to do with fighting? And secondly, I don't need people to help me grow up! I. Drink. Milk!" Ruby said, sounding very annoyed.

"Hahaha, Look out world, the milk drinker's coming to get you!" you said, laughing loudly.

"S-Shut up!" Ruby said with a blush forming on her face.

Yang laughed at the exchange, then she got serious again.

"But what about when we form teams?" she asked.

"Uhh... I don't know. I'll just be on your team, or (Y/N)'s team" Ruby said sounding very unsure.

"Maybe.. you should try being on someone els's team" Yang said nervously, moving some of her long blonde hair around and playing with it.

"My dear sister Yang, and friend (Y/N), are you implying that you do not wish to be on the same team as me?" Ruby asked, sounding hurt.

"You wouldn't be able to keep up with me little one" You said smugly.

"What!?" Ruby said.

"No we want to be on the same team. I just thought... I don't know. maybe it'll break you out of your shell" Yang said taking the attention off you.

"What?! I don't need to break out of my shell that's absolutely-" Ruby raged.

"Ridicules! There's no way I put my gear in locker 363 yesterday. I would have had to remember having to count that high... Oh, why does this have to happen today?" Jaune said as he walked past.

You watched Jaune walk past and notice that girl Weiss talking with That red haired girl from before, (ugh, not that brat again...).

You stood a fair distance away listening to their conversation.

"So Pyrrha, have you given any thought on who's team you'd like to be on? I'm sure everyone must be eager to unite with such a strong, well known individual such as yourself" Weiss said.

"Hmm... I'm not quite sure. I was planning on letting the chips fall where they may" the girl now known as Pyrrha said.

"Well, I was thinking that maybe we could be on a team together" Weiss said, sounding hopeful.

"Well, that sounds grand!" Pyrrha said happily.

"Great!" Weiss exclaimed, (This will be perfect! The smartest girl in class combined with the strongest girl in class! Together we'll be unstoppable! I can see it now! We'll be popular! We'll be celebrities! We'll get perfect grades! Nothing can come between us now!)

You looked at the 'evil genius' look Weiss was giving of during her mental monologue, (So there are some Sith ideals on this world...)

"You know what else is great? Me, Jaune Arc, nice to meet you" Jaune said in a falsely confidant tone.

"Oh, this will be interesting" you said as you watched.

"You again?" Weiss said with a dismissive tone.

"Nice to meet you Jaune" Pyrrha said.

"Yeah, yeah. So Weiss, couldn't help but hear your fondness of me the other day" Jaune said, ignoring Pyrrha.

"Oh, you've got to be kidding me" Weiss said.

"So! I've been hearing about teams! I was thinking you and me would make a good one. What do you say?" He continued.

"Actually, I think the teams are comprised of four students each" Pyrrha said.

"You don't say. Well, hotstuff, play your cards right and maybe you could join up with the winning team" Jaune said.

You smirked at his declaration, (Winning team? that's a laugh!)

"Jaune is it? Do you have any idea who you are talking to?" Weiss said a she stood between Jaune and Pyrrha.

"Not in the slightest, Snow Angel" Jaune answered dreamily.

"This is Pyrrha" Weiss said, pointing back at said girl.

"Hello again!" She said happily.

"Pyrrha graduated top of her class as Sanctum" Weiss said proudly.

"Never heard of it" Jaune said.

"she's won the Minstral Reigonal Tournaments four years in a row, a new record" Weiss said, slightly annoyed.

You raised a brow at that information, (She must be an impressive warrior)

"The what?" Jaune asked, causing Weiss to arch her brown angrily at him.

"She's on the front of every Pumpkin Pete's Marshmallow box!" Weiss yelled as she waved her arms rapidly.

"*gasps* That's you? They only do that for star athletes and cartoon characters!" Jaune said as he pointed at Pyrrha.

"Yeah, it was pretty cool. Sadly the cereal isn't that good for you" Pyrrha said modestly.

"So, after hearing all of this, do you really think you're in a position to be asking her to be on your team?" Weiss asked.

"I guess not... Sorry" Jaune said as he slumped in depression.

"Actually Jaune, I think you'd make a great leader" Pyrrha said, placing her hand on his shoulders.

"Oh, stop it" Jaune said, his confidence boosted back up.

"Seriously, please stop it. This kind of behavior should not be encouraged!" Weiss said.

"Sounds like Pyrrha is on board for team Jaune. Spots are filling up quick! Now, I'm not supposed to do this, but maybe I can pull some strings, find a place for you, what do you say" Jaune said as he got very close to Weiss.

"Alright, That's a bit too close! Pyrrha a little help please?" Weiss said sounding worried.

You then saw Pyrrha raise her spear and throw it at Jaune, you then saw the spear catch on Jaune's hood and pin him to a wall.

"I'm sorry!" Pyrrha said.

"Okay forget what I thought yesterday, that girl would make a terrible Sith, far too apologetic!" you said to yourself quietly.

"Would all first year students please report to Beacon cliff for initiation, again all first year students please report to Beacon cliff for initiation" Came the voice of Glynda over the intercom.

"It was nice meeting you" Pyrrha said as she raised her hand and her spear flew into it.

You watched her leave with interest, (She called her weapon to her hand so easily... Is she trained in the use of the force?)

"Likewise" Jaune sighed sadly.

You then walked over along with Ruby and Yang.

"Havin' some trouble there lady killer?" Yang asked as Ruby offered her hand to the boy.

"I don't understand. My dad said all women look for is confidence. Where did I go wrong?" Jaune asked.

"'Snow Angel' probably wasn't the best start" Yang said as Ruby dragged Jaune up.

"Not to mention you haven't even proven yourself yet, if you'd done that on Korriban you probably would have been killed" You said in passing.

(Now, let's go see what this 'Initiation' has to offer me...) you thought as you pulled up your hood and smiled at the thought of a coming fight.

The four of you walked along to Beacon cliff where you saw dozens of metal squares, you were told to stand on one and be ready, you used the force to shove the guy standing next to Yang off the spot, he stood up and glared at you but walked away then you stood close to Yang.

"For years you have traised to become warriors. And today, your abilities will be tested in the Emerald Forest." Ozpin said.

"Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams. Well allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates ... today" Glynda said as she looked over a datapad.

"What?" Ruby said, sounding very scared.

"These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well" Ozpin said.

Ruby made another scared whimper, you felt equal parts amused, disgusted and endeared to the kid.

"That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years" Ozpin said.

"What?!?" Ruby screamed, now very much horrified.

"See? I told you!" said the orange haired girl, to her friend.

"As long as they aren't weaklings, I'll be more than happy..." You said as you cracked your fingers on both hands.

"After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path, or you will die." Ozpin said earning a nervous gulp from Jaune.

You rubbed your hands together with glee, (At last! something to get excited about!)

"You will be monitored and graded for the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one, and return to the top of the cliff. We will regard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?" Ozpin said, you were beginning to get tired of all the talk, you wanted to get into the action!

"Yeah, um sir-" Jaune said raising his hand.

"Good! Now take your positions" Ozpin said, you laughed a little at that.

You watched as the other students got into a stance, you decided to go into a lightsaber stance.

"Uh, sir? I've got, um, a question" Jaune said, raising his hand again.

You looked down the line and saw Weiss get launched into the air, towards the forest, you felt a thrill pass through your body. (This will be exciting! I hope...)

"So, this landing strategy thing, uh, w-what is it? You're, like, dropping us off or something?" Jaune asked.

"No you will be falling" Ozpin states simply.

You feel the excitement begin to build as you heard the platforms launch, closer and closer to yours.

"Oh, I see. So, like, did you hand out parachutes for us?" Jaune asked, sounding a bit nervous.

"No. You will be using your own landing strategy." Ozpin said.

"Oh this will be fun!" you said as your platform sprang up, launching you into the air rapidly, you felt your hood being blown off but you quickly grabbed it and held it in place.

"WOOHOO!" you heard Yang yell behind you, then you heard Jaune screaming you just felt the thrill of your flight, (I wonder if this is what it's like to have wings?) you thought to yourself as you fell.

you then thought about how you were going to land, you came up with an idea and chanted...

"Peace is a lie, there is only passion..." You said as the dark power flowed through you, you fed off the adrenaline and the exhilaration from your flight, you gathered the force around you and prepared to blast the ground to slow your fall.

You then unleashed a powerful force push that dramatically slowed your decent, you then allowed yourself to fall the rest of the way and hit the ground with a thud.

You felt some pain in your legs and knew you'd damaged them, you harnessed your reactive anger to heal your legs, you stood up testing your legs and were satisfied to feel them working again.

You then heard explosions and looked up, you saw a brief flash of Yellow fly past and knew it must have been Yang.

"Okay... let's go see what we can kill..." you said as you walked into the dark woods.

After a few minutes your anger built up at the lack of action, then you encountered your enemy, you were surrounded by a group of wolf like creatures that Ozpin called beowolves, they snarled and snapped at you as you smiled.

"Finally! something to kill!" you said as you pulled out your lightsaber and ignited it.

One of the creatures charged at you snarling viciously, you jumped back and swung your lightsaber severing the creatures arm, it roared in pain before you stabbed it in the chest and it fell down dead.

Then you blasted another one with force lightning stopping only when it's smoking corpse hit the ground, two more charged you at once you slashed one across the face with your lightsaber and hit another one with a short blast of electricity, the one you slashes roared in pain missing one eye while the other one trembled from the energy you discharged into it's body, you threw your lightsaber towards the shaking Grimm the blade severing the monsters head before twirling back towards your outstretched hand.

The one you cut earlier ran at you intent on revenge for the eye, you had to lower your hand and hit it with a force push sending it flying back into a tree, the creatures broken body slid to the ground as you caught your lightsaber.

Then you saw a huge Ursa covered in bony spikes bounding towards you, you shot force lightning at the creature but it continued to run at you, you were then hit hard forcing you back a few feet your boots leaving twin trails in the ground, you looked up an the Grimm and snarled you jumped forwards and slashed with your lightsaber cutting into it's body, the monster roared loudly and yet more Grimm emerged from the brush.

You smiled at the new threats coming to attack you, "What fun... What FUN!" you said as you readied your next round of force lightning.

You sent small shocks and bolts at the Grimm that surrounded you  wanting to finish off the larger one from earlier, You moved amidst the Grimm slashing with your lightsaber and blasting them with lightning using the force to enhance your movements.

You grew bored with slaughtering the regular Grimm and decided to go after the big one, the Grimm swiped at you but you jumped over it slashing at it's back, it roared in pained rage and spun around to claw at you you moved your arms if front of your body and the Grimm hit you hard, you lowered your arms you felt something warm and wet run down your face and from the pain you felt you knew the Grimm had cut you, you stuck out your tongue and licked the blood that ran down your face, this brought a smile to your face drawing on your own pain was something you had learned while on Korriban, using this new source of power you built up a very powerful charge of force lightning and sent it flying towards the Alpha and the rest of the pack.

The alpha was struck by the powerful attack instantly convulsing from the energy being sent into it's body, then the lightning began to jump to the other nearby Beowolves they took a slightly less powerful blast of the lightning but still felt agony, you relished their pained cries as you finished them off before standing before the now heavily wounded Ursa Major.

You felt slightly tired from the fight and knew how to finish off this last Grimm, you extinguished your lightsaber and used the force to reach into the creatures lifeforce, you began to drain the Alpha's life energy converting it into force power for you to call upon later it was a very painful process... For the Ursa.

The Grimm roared in agony as you drained the beast nearly unto death you felt the darkness inside you grow stronger from your cruel use of power, the Grimm collapsed before you unable to move yet not dead you walked towards it and stood before it.

"Pitiful beasts like you, can never kill an experienced Sith like me!" you declared before blasting it with a final round of force lightning, after that the creature finally stilled and died you watched in facination as the bodies faded away into dark mist.

"What a facinating death ritual... So their bodies evaporate after a set amount of time after death? this will make it more difficult to dissect them and learn about them..." You said as the Ursa Major's body completely disappeared.

You clipped your lightsaber back onto your belt and ran northwards to the temple, you thought about what the relics could be, perhaps crystals? Weapons? secret or forbidden knowledge?

You felt fresh blood trickle down your face and remembered that you had been cut, you focused on the wounds and willed then to heal with your dark powers, you then used the force to up your speed through the forest occasionally blasting a random Grimm with a bolt of lightning.

As you sped through the trees your thought turned towards your possible teammates, if you had to share a room what would you do with all your artefacts, lightsabers and Sith knowledge?

(I'll have to try to find somewhere to keep them safe, can't have valuable Sith teachings and artefacts falling into unworthy hands) you thought to yourself.

You then thought over the people you've met so far, you have considered quite a few as worthy to become your apprentice.

(Well let's see... There's Ruby, I can sense she has much untapped potential she would be quite potent if taught the ways of darkness, however she seems too much for justice and peace... There's Blake, I can already tell there's darkness inside that one, however it seems she's decided to turn from that path in favour of a peaceful one. Maybe Yang? She shows a lot of physical prowess and she would make an excellent Sith warrior especially with how passionate she is, but I'll have to try to read her more... Weiss, NO! Far to rigid and ordered I'll have to work on her before I can consider her as a potential supplicant...)

Your thought were interrupted when you bumped into someone, you both fell to the ground and the person was on top of you, You looked up and saw a familiar pair of lilac eyes staring back.

"Hello Yang, how's the hunt going?" You asked jokingly.

"Oh, you know just 'Yanging' in there" she responded, with a small chuckle.

Behind her came a annoyed groan, you looked and saw none other than Blake herself standing behind Yang, "Must you make such annoying puns?" she asked.

You laughed and Yang looked at you with sparkly eyes, "Y-you thought that was funny?!" she asked you excitedly.

"Yes, I thought it was pretty funny" You responded, this resulted in Yang giving you a hug which you returned.

"Not that I mind of course but, do you think we can get up now?" you asked her.

She blushed and stood up quickly, you got up yourself and brushed yourself down, you looked up at the two girls with a dark smile.

"Well ladies, shall we go?" you said pointing to the north.

"Yeah lets!" Yang says as she cheerfully walks ahead, you walk beside her looking out for Grimm.

Blake however seemed a little hesitant to follow you, she sensed a great darkness coming from you, a darkness similar to the darkness in her former partner, she decided to keep an eye on you in case you were dangerous...
